About Us

  1. In order to achieve its vision, UCC shall:
    Preach the message of salvation from sin to all communities, especially those segments of our society that are not easy to reach, victoriously transforming lives by the Word of God through evangelical crusades and cell ministry;
  2. Minister the love of God to the needy and the hurting through counselling and social upliftment  programmes;
  3. Teach the uncompromising Word of God so that believers are equipped to live in holiness, demonstrating character and integrity;
  4. Develop a body of spirit-filled, born-again believers who, through their example in integrity and excellence of ministry, impact their generation in a contagious manner, inspiring others to achieve excellence in every area of their lives, ministry and careers;
  5. Create an environment for the training of ministers of the Gospel to pursue their calling with zeal and unquestionable integrity, demonstrating skill under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Bible as inspired Word of God, and accept it as supreme and final in authority for faith and life;
We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit;

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand side of the Father, and His personal return to power and glory;
We believe in the salvation of lost and sinful man, and that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God;
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life;
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, eternal blessedness of the redeemed and the banishment of those who rejected the offer of salvation;
We believe in spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the Priesthood of all believers.

Quest for the presence of God
·UCC is a Christ-centered community of Christian believers who are on a quest for the presence of God. We believe that it is in the presence of God that one can find true joy, peace, fulfilment, and miraculous provision for every need in life. Our aim is to cultivate an appetite in our young people, older folks, married couples, singles, families and children to yearn for God’s presence and worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:22,23).

Family Values
We believe that the ultimate purpose of living is to know and glorify God beginning within our families and then reaching out to a suffering humanity. We revere marriage as God’s institution intended to be a lifelong relationship between a man and a woman, regardless of trials, sickness, financial or emotional stresses that may ensue. We believe that the way to build a strong and powerful church that impacts society is to build strong and powerful families. We teach that all Christians, even children and youth, are able ministers in the Kingdom of God and should be fully integrated in the mainstream life of the Church, thus fully expressing Christian community.

We believe that people of all races, backgrounds, and upbringing have much to contribute in the Body of Christ. We accept and respect other people’s dignity, regardless of the criteria of race, class, colour, sex and cultural differences. We also reaffirm the Biblical principle that we do not seek to draw attention to ourselves in our actions, but to glorify God in all we do.

Cell Ministry

We see fellowship in the light of: a) Gal. 6:1-2, that we should share one another’s burdens;b) 2Tim. 4:2, that we should correct one another in a spirit of love and forgiveness; c) John 13:35, that to love one another is part of our ministry. We embrace cell ministry as a strategic vehicle for achieving effective ministry to our communities. The focus of cell ministry is evangelism, effective training and discipleship, and church growth through dynamic small groups that are entwined into the life of the church.
